CONNECT TO THE FUTURE
WITH INTELDAT FTTX SOLUTIONS

Fiber is now the default for connectivity. INTELDAT is the future of FTTX.

Fiber provides the ability and capacity to fulfil all FTTX connectivity requirements. Optical fiber’s advantages include:

  • Consistent, reliable connectivity
  • Nearly unlimited bandwidth (capacity)
  • Low latency (speed loss) across long distances
  • Immunity from electromagnetic interference
  • Light weight and ease of installation

INTELDAT continually keeps pace with the latest fiber optics technologies – and even pulls it – designing and implementing fiber optic connectivity for every step of the FTTX continuum, and tailoring custom solutions for any situation, from underground to overhead to aerial to inside, including fiber optic solutions for:

Fiber to the Home (FTTH)

This is one of the fastest-growing fiber applications world-wide, used for home broadband. Fiber reaches directly to the boundary of the living space, and signals are then distributed throughout the home by wire or Wi-Fi. Operators deliver so-called “triple play” services (entertainment, communications and high-speed internet) via the network, although mobile devices and streaming continue to reduce the demand for television and land-line telephone.

Fiber to the Premises (FTTP)

This is a bit of a catch-all designation, as it covers fiber infrastructure running to a building (premises) that houses multiple tenants, often offices, and small businesses, but it can also encompass residential. The fiber runs to a box in the building and signals in existing premises are often further distributed by copper wire, which can be replaced by fiber.

Fiber to the Antenna (FTTA)

Billions of gigabits of information are now being transmitted wirelessly every minute of every day, from cell, wireless broadband and Wi-Fi antennas. 5G is the new standard.

Fiber to the Machine (FTTM)

Manufacturing operations, research facilities and hospitals, for examples, often want optical fiber delivered directly to machines, including robots, imaging, laboratory and other equipment. Optical fiber provides greater speed and accuracy.

INTELDAT fiber optics: from planning to connected.

The INTELDAT team has years of fiber optics experience, and we work with some of the premier companies in fiber optics today, as well as with university researchers and equipment designers. We can satisfy your current requirements, and anticipate future needs to design-in capacity to meet those, as well. With INTELDAT, you get:

FTTX System Planning & Network Design

Both OSP (Outside the Property and ISP (Inside the Property) design decisions have significant impacts on network build costs.

Well-coordinated planning and design at the “macro” level includes the X factor (how far will the network extend, and to what terminations), the quantity and location of users, distribution and access points, and other considerations.

Design at the “micro” level includes considerations for things such as splice locations, precise distribution patterns and loss calculations, existing utility avoidance, and establishing equipment locations.

FTTX Component Design & Manufacturing

Though every assignment is unique, and the components, cabling and connections vary from project to project, the critical elements of any fiber optic system are distribution and termination.

INTELDAT designs and manufacture sophisticated solutions, both under license and as a contract provider. The company is especially skilled at delivering cable assemblies custom-configured for any system requirement.

INTELDAT UNDERSTANDS FTTX.

INTELDAT’s experience and expertise is projected into all aspects of fiber optic systems designs and deliverables, and our commitment to innovation is backed by careful attention to details. We will be happy to prove that our solutions will meet or exceed all your FTTX connectivity requirements.
